What university is really like?

Image
As most of you who read my blog will know. I go to university and I live quite far away from home. Let's just say it's about 3 hours by car, but over 4 hours by train. Anyway, I thought I'd make a post about what uni is really like as I've been here for nearly four months now. 1. It's not a party every night Believe it or not nobody is partying every night or drinking. During freshers yes and there may be some weeks where some people are in a party mood especially if it's a Tuesday where there are 50p drinks. However, most of the time you'll find that people are staying in their rooms and probably watching Netflix or just relaxing in their PJs. Some days you may not see anyone. Some days you might be very sociable and go out. Just be prepared for anything. Don't be disappointed either if nobody wants to hang out. 2. You're going to procrastinate whether you like it or not Believe it or not you will procrastinate on some of your assignments....

Sometimes it's hard to be positive

I'm trying to be more positive this year. I'm trying to get rid of most of the negativity that goes on in my mind. However, sometimes I can't help when negative thoughts begin to cross my mind which then causes me to be a little anxious or worried about the day ahead. I try and try to not it let it get the better and yet there it is getting the better of me and then I become afraid to face things. I get the feeling when I'm about to go somewhere like a lecture. I start thinking was if I supposed to do something for it or if I got a bad mark in an assignment I'd be terrified that the lecturer would bring it up. That happened to me last Friday and a part of me didn't want to go to that lecture. Then I thought hiding is not the answer. It'll look worse if you don't show up at all.  So I just went to the lecture and it was better than I expected. It was just another PowerPoint presentation and the assignment wasn't even mentioned. It made me rea...

Just a little post..

Hey there! This is just a quick update to say that I'm back at university now which means I'll have better internet and more time to write posts. It feels good to be back at uni. Even though it was nice over the holidays to just relax and not stress over assessments. Not having to do a food shop. Being able to have home cooked meals. I kind of prefer it being at uni because I feel more independent. I can also buy food I like. I also got to see all my uni friends again as I hadn't seen them for like three to four weeks so it was nice to see them again. Anyway that was my little post for the day. I'll be back soon with another. See you soon :) Megan x

Driving!

Image
Hey blog! It's me. So yesterday was a big day for me. I had my first driving lesson. I was so scared and nervous. I thought I was going to mess up and crash the car. Luckily that didn't happen and I managed to get the hang of driving eventually as I had never driving before. Although my instructor said that I kept rushing because I was panicking a lot when I had to change gear or if a car was coming. But yeah this is a really big step for me because driving is really handy to have in everyday life. So yeah. I'm excited for my next lessons which unfortunately won't be until the Easter break from uni. Oh well. I'm still excited and can't wait to drive again. Anyway, that's all I want to say. I hope you have a good day and try something new in 2016. Bye guys! I love you all! Megan x

A new year. A new you?

Happy new year to you all. Can you believe it's 2016?  I can't. Now, normally during the start of the year. Most people make new years resolutions. Typically there I'm going to eat healthily. I'm going to be skinny by next year. However, like most people me being guilty of this you fail and succumb to all the guilty pleasures you were going to refuse yourself this year. So my advice would be when you're making your new year resolutions try to be realistic and look back at the new year resolutions you've made (you must have written them down in a notebook or something). You may notice from looking at the resolutions from last year that you haven't achieved any of them and quite the opposite to them has happened. So what I'm saying is trying to make your news year resolutions achievable.  But you know why do we have to make new years resolutions once at the start of the year. Why can't your new years resolution be achieve th...
