Trip to Trafford Centre and Haul

Image
So on Monday I went to the Trafford Centre and made a post about it. I also said that I was going to upload some pictures and a haul from that day on Tuesday. Unfortunately I wasn't able to do that because I was doing an assignment all day on Tuesday that was due on Wednesday. I was very stressed out about that. I also had a lecture and was kind of relaxing yesterday and on Thursday to. So sorry about that. Anyway, here it is now. All the pictures I took plus a haul of what I bought in the Trafford Centre. Enjoy. As you know I did catch the train there and during one of the stops I saw this station and had to take a picture of it because I thought it looked good. It's Irlam station in Manchester if you're wondering. It was about a twenty minute walk and as you know I had no clue if I was going in the right direction because I had no internet on my phone. I just kept going north and kind of hoped for the best or hope for a sign to show up. Believe it ...

A day to myself

Image
Hey guys! I was awake throughout the night because I just brought myself down and I just kind of felt lost. I suppose I had an existential crisis in a way. Basically I was overthinking a lot of things which lead me to making hot chocolate and cheesy chips at one o'clock in the morning. Random but true. I guess I was feeling down at this point and all I wanted to do was just feel better or do something to cheer me up but nothing seemed to be working. I listened to music, went on to pinterest and stuff like that. I avoided social media because I really wasn't in the mood for that. Anyway, me feeling down is not the point of this blog. Well, it kind of is and it kind of isn't. We're all human after all and we all have some days where we're feeling extremely down and it's nobody else's fault. It's your own for overthinking too much. During this sleepless night of over thinking I was trying to find a way to make myself feel better. One possibly was ...

6 tips for travelling alone on long train journeys

Image
Being a student who lives a few hours away from home I have to catch several trains to get back home or back to uni as I had to do today. It's kind of a long period of time and many changes that may freak you out a little. Believe me I know the feeling. I sometimes I have to double check everything. The times. The stations I have to get off. Sometimes I even go as far as trying to work out which platform my trains are on. It can be daunting but if you're prepared then you'll be fine and it's not the end of the world if you miss your connection. So I'm going to give you a few tips that may help if you're someone who has to travel alone on a long train journey. 1. Times - Find out when the times of each of your train changes are. From when you depart from the station to the time you arrive to how long you have to wait until your next train. Also find out how long the train journey is. If you've got all the times figured out then you should be fine....

Travelling

Image
I'm currently travelling on the train back to my home. It feels nice to get away from uni. Sometimes the stress of assignments and life gets too much and you just want to escape. It's nice to be able to go back to the comforts of home and actually home cooked meals rather than microwavable ones and pot noodles. I like travelling by train. It feels relaxing apart from the stress of switching trains but I'm currently on a train that I know I don't have to get off for at least another 45 minutes so it's nice. I kind of just got inspired to make a post because I know my phone has internet sharing on it so it works as a nice internet hub though it depends where I am and if I have any signal but still. It's better than nothing. It actually feels nice to be able to type away on the train because I actually feel like one of those business people you find on the train and people may think I'm a business when really I'm not. Though if anyone loo...

My go to song for when I'm feeling down

Image
We all have a song that we like to listen to for when we're feeling down in the dumps and usually that song will make us feel somewhat better. Well, recently I found one particular song that made me feel so much better. It helped for when I was feeling upset, alone, anxious or even nervous. I listen to it before going to a lecture.  Here it is. It's called Stronger from the musical Finding Neverland. I have not seen this musical but I watched this song on YouTube being performed live at the Tony Awards. I thought it was amazing. I felt like I related to the lyrics so much. I love it so much. It's quite possibly my new favourite song. If I was you I'd give this song a listen and look up the lyrics online because it may make you feel better and relate to you just like it did to me. I hope you enjoyed this little post and the recommendation. I'm not associated with this music or the songs. I just love this song and wanted to share how much i...

Feeling alone?

Image
Feeling alone can really suck and make you bring yourself down. It can also make you feel really insecure and anxious about what people might be thinking of you. Lately, I've been doing this a lot. Even before a lecture I have this knot in the pit of my stomach and suddenly I'm just scared. I keep thinking of scenarios that might happen. Especially when I think I haven't done any research or started an assignment and just think the lecturer will yell at me in front of everyone. Yeah. That really sucks. However, thankfully I'm wrong and most of the time it turns out better than expected. Then I just laugh (mentally not out loud) about how I wrong I was and then I just feel loads better. Anyway, back to the topic of being alone. It sucks. Everyone knows that and everyone feels it. It's okay to be alone. You can still be happy while being alone. Trust me I know. Most of the time I like being alone because I can do things I want to do without worrying a...

January Favourites

Image
I thought I would show you all my favourites from January as I've developed quite a few and I wanted to share with you. Book wise I've been loving Demi Lovato's book Staying Strong . Every page is a dedicated to a day of the year and every morning I've picked up the book and read a page. At the end of the page there's a goal and I like it. It makes me feel positive about the day and it's always best to start the day as a positive one as the rest of the day will be positive. The next is Michael McIntyre's autobiography Life & Laughing. I always find reading autobiographies interesting because you know it came from the celebrities point of view rather than an author doing research to write a biography. It's also good to look at the way your favourite celebrity was brought up and realise they weren't born famous they were just like everyone else. TV wise I don't watch TV is mostly just catchup TV or Netflix, but this month loads...
