How To Get Motivated?
We all have days where we just feel so unmotivated to do anything. We feel unmotivated to study and even write blog posts. It happens. It's life after all.
However on these days where we just feel unmotivated when really we should be feeling motivated we fall into the deep dark hole of procrastination. Before you know it, it's four o'clock in the afternoon and you're still in your PJs after binge watching your favourite TV series or YouTubers. Not good.
Now the question remains is how do you stop yourself from falling into that deep dark hole of procrastination after feeling unmotivated. Luckily for you guys I have some tips which can help you.
1. Go outside
If you go outside just to go for a walk or go to the shop for something then you'll be able to get dressed out your PJs. Also there's so much outside and anything can happen. Plus sometimes being stuck in your home or your bedroom can cause you to be unmotivated and procrastinate more. You can even go to a cafe or a coffee place and just work there. Sometimes it's nice to just be typing away on a laptop in the middle of a cafe. People will think you're a smart, business person and will probably not disturb you. You can also make your trip outside into a blog post if you're a blogger. People will read it because people love reading about other peoples day. You can just do a day in life post. That's also another way to motivate yourself if you're blogger is to tell yourself I'm doing a day in a life post today so I should make it interesting instead of saying I spent all day in bed and watching Netflix. That is boring. But there's endless possibilities of exciting things happening to you when you go outside which you can write about. Also if you're going outside then take a notebook with you so you can write your ideas. Sometimes ideas can just pop into your head and writing them down or doodling them makes your ideas flow more. Also try studying out of your house. You can go to a library or cafe or even outside in a park. Sometimes you just need to get of your bedroom as it's full of distractions plus might make you motivated to not study.
2. Catch a train
If you're lucky that you live near a train station then catch a train. It doesn't have to be far you can just research a place nearby and go there by train. Sometimes a train journey motivates me to write a blog post. You can write about your journey and travel tips. It's perfect. It's also nice if you're just feeling unmotivated to plan a mini day trip somewhere whether that's to go shopping or just for coffee somewhere. Going some place different will motivate you to do something.
3. Clean!
Now, if you're supposed to be studying then this tip is good for you to get motivated to be productive and that is to start cleaning. Clean your bedroom. Make your bedroom nice and tidy because for some reason if you're being productive then that motivates you to do more productive things like studying. You'll also work so much better if your surroundings are nice and tidy.
4. Turn your phone off and hide it
If you're like me and never really expect to get important phone calls or messages and most of the time you're just scrolling through social media on your phone. Then it't time to turn off your phone and just put it away in a drawer somewhere. Just not being on your phone can motivate you to do something. Plus not hearing the sound of a notification just makes it easier for you to not getting distracted wandering who that notification is from. Having your phone away from you just helps you to get your work done quicker.
5. Take some time to breathe.
If you're outside or inside just take some time for yourself. Stop what you're doing and just relax. Look at your surroundings and breathe in the fresh air if you're outside. Just make yourself feel happy and not stressed because sometimes being very stressed can make you unmotivated and give you the idea that you don't want to do it anymore. Just take a moment to give your mind and self to just relax. Don't think about anything just stop stressing. Try meditating or yoga or whatever it is which will make you feel relaxed. Even if it's just laying on the grass outside with your eyes closed Just take some time to breathe. Focus on your breathing instead of the work you have to do. Count your breathes and just feel your body movements as your breath.
Anyway, that's all my tips for getting motivated. I hope it was helpful to some of you. Whether you use it for getting motivated to study, writing blog posts or just working then I hope it will benefit you.
Thank you for reading and I'll be back again tomorrow with another post.
See you then guys.
