My Top Five Christmas Songs
As it's December, you're allowed to blast any Christmas song you like on repeat throughout the entire 25 days leading up to Christmas. I thought I'd share my top favourite five Christmas songs with you guys.
Let's do this!
1. Do They Know It's Christmas Time? - Band Aid 1984
I just love this song It's an absolute classic and every time I hear the first few seconds start playing I get all excited. I always can't help but sing along because it's such a great Christmas song. I love it and also it always reminds me of Gavin and Stacey's Christmas special where Smithy and Gavin sing it. It cracks me up every time and that's why it's one of my favourites.
2. When Christmas Comes To Town - The Polar Express
When I watched The Polar Express I loved this song. It's such a sweet and calming song. I feel like it's such an underrated Christmas song because nobody really talks about it and I don't know why. It just makes me happy ad excited for Christmas. It's about family, Christmas and just the joys of this time of year. I love it.
3. Baby It's Cold Outside
This is such a cute song and just a great song to sing along to. It's just so catchy and has a great tune to it. I also always think of the scene in the film Elf where they sing this song on it and it's just such a funny and memorable song.
4. Do You Hear What I Hear?
Now I grew up listening to Christmas Carols and going to school concerts. I used to love singing and listening to this song. The version I listen to now is the Glee version because it has so much build up throughout that when you get to the last verse you can't help but belt it out. It's great.
5. O Holy Night
Again this kind of a powerful and I grew up with the nativity play so this kind of just reminds me of those times in primary school watching the nativity play about Jesus. Times were so much simpler then. Also this song is a amazing and you need a powerful voice for it but when I'm home alone (as I can't sing very well) I just belt this song out throughout December because it's a sweet song. I love it.
Anyway, that's my top five favourite Christmas songs. I hope you enjoyed this list and gave you a few suggestions to add your Christmas playlist. Let me know what you're favourite Christmas songs are in the comments below.
I'll be back again soon with another post.
See you then.
