Bloggers Block
Most creative people usually get a block where they struggle with ideas or they feel their ideas aren't good enough.
I get this when it comes to my blog.
Sometimes I feel like I have no idea what to post. Yet I want to post something because I feel I need to keep my blog updated. However, it can be a struggle especially when you inevitably get that blogger's block where you struggle to even think of an idea.
I'm here to help you though and give you suggestions on how to combat the blogger's block.
Hopefully this can be used in other creative aspects and not just for bloggers. Think of it as a way of finding motivation and inspiration to be creative.
So let's get started!
1. Do you still enjoy it?
I suppose you may have to sit back and think do you actually enjoy what you do. Does it bring you joy. If it does then that's a good sign because it means you've not given up yet. Yet if it doesn't bring you joy then don't put so much pressure on yourself. Maybe it just wasn't for you but it's okay. Take a break if you need to. Come back. The internet is forever and new people will always come across your blog so don't feel like nobody will read your blog if you're not posting. You'll always get someone reading your blog and it doesn't matter how many. Just as long as you enjoy what you do.
2. Be inspired blogs
Sometimes it can be a struggle to find ideas and not entirely sure what to post about. There's no harm in reading other people's blog and finding inspiration in their posts. Obviously don't copy their post word from word but maybe put your on own twist on a topic they've talked about. You always see similar YouTube videos such as what's in my bag or decluttering videos or routines. As long as you put your own perspective on it then it'll soon become your own original post. Sometimes you just need a little inspiration by reading other blogs to find the ideas. Sometimes one idea can turn into multiple ideas which is an amazing feeling. So go check out some of your favourite bloggers if you've got a creative block. You'll soon be inspired to make a post.
3. Just write
Sometimes just opening up a new page for a post and just writing away can help with bloggers block. Start writing about your day or just talk about something that has been playing on your mind. It doesn't have to be perfect. It can be super casual and about anything you want. You never know if you start writing away then you may think of new ideas for posts. Sometimes just writing away can help you out so much when you have bloggers block. So open up a new page and start writing away.
4. Go outside and take your camera
Sometimes being stuck inside you may not feel inspired or very creative. Why not go outside and take your camera. Go for a walk. Go for a drive. Take a train or a bus somewhere new. Go on a little mini adventure somewhere for the day. Take your camera so you can take pictures and document your time there. Sometimes a post can magically appear for you if you go outside. Create a photo journal of your day or do a day in the life post of your mini adventure. You don't have to go far and it doesn't have to be expensive. It could be a walk around your town or by the beach. Even in the woods. Wherever it is you go, take your camera so you can take pictures as proof you actually went somewhere. It'll make a great and interesting post for your blog so go outside.
5. Pinterest
I love Pinterest because there's loads and loads of pins on different topics. It's a great place to look for inspiration. Just search some key words that you're thinking of writing about. Whether it's university or work or travelling or cooking or even makeup. Just search in a few key words then you'll soon get inspired by some of the pins. Again I don't mean copy word for word the pin but you can put it into your perspective and give your own advice and tips on the subject itself. Sometimes you just need to be inspired by what's in front of you and then all the ideas will come flowing. So have a look on Pinterest and get inspired.
Anyway, that's all my tips for blogger's block. I hope it was helpful to any of you struggling with it. Let me know if you have any tips on overcoming blogger's block in the comments below.
I'll be back again soon with another post for you guys.
See you then.
