Reading
During this lock down, I saw this post on Instagram that said: "Read the books you already bought before you buy anymore."
That kind of hit me because I do get into a habit of buying new books and telling myself I will read them then I either procrastinate, reread Harry Potter again or just buy a new book to read then forget about the ones already on my bookshelf.
This lock down kind of got me looking at my bookshelf and realising I do have fifteen books on my bookshelf that I have not yet read yet. I get into weird phases sometimes where I read a lot of books or procrastinate reading by going into the dreaded reading slump where you don't feel like reading.
Now though with being inside although the time, I don't want to be staring at screens all day long so instead I have been doing a lot of reading. I've read books within two days and I am pretty proud of myself.
I thought I'd share with you the list of books I've completed so far since the end of March.
1. In The Time We Lost by Carrie Hope Fletcher
2. Still Me by JoJo Moyes
3. I Heart New York by Lindsey Kelk
4. Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher
The first three books were books I have never read before and I enjoyed all of them. The fourth one was an audiobook which I've listened to before, although it's kind of an interesting listen but not one for everyone.
I know it's only four books so far but I'm currently rereading The Secret Dreamworld of a Shopaholic (Confessions of a Shopaholic) by Sophie Kinsella and I do plan on reading the rest of the series as it has been a while since I read the series so I may as well give it a go now while I have some free time on my hands.
My love for reading has definitely been reignited by this lock down and I hope to get through all the books on my bookshelf that I haven't read yet so that I will never have to feel guilty about buying a new book.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this post and that it inspired you to start going through your TBR list. Let me know what you're currently reading at the moment. I would love to hear about it.
Thank you for reading my blog and I'll be back tomorrow with another post for you.
See you then.
