Books!
I've been doing a lot of reading recently which makes me so happy because I love getting lost in books. It also just feels nice to sit in silence and just read my book. That's pretty much the only thing I've done aside from watching Ru Paul's Drag Race. I actually ordered two books yesterday and they arrived today (thank you Amazon Prime) so I thought I'd make a post today about books.
The current book I'm reading is Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell. I started reading it today and so far I'm very intrigued by it. I'm only on Chapter 13 but I can tell this is one of those books I'm going to finish in a day. I've actually been setting myself that challenge recently and so far I've been very successful. I'm looking forward to where this story goes.
Now for my new books. It's been a month since I've had a new book so I was very excited when these arrived today.
The first book is The Switch by Beth O'Leary. I had heard a lot of people raving about this book so I was a little unsure about ordering it and never really looked at the description. I loved her book The Flatshare so I thought I'd take a look at it and I'm so glad I did because it sounds like a wonderful story. It reminds me of The Holiday except with a grandmother and granddaughter switching homes. I'm excited about reading it.
The second book is In Five Years by Rebecca Serle. With this book I'm not sure if I read about it on a magazine or on Amazon but I was reminded about it when I was on Amazon yesterday and it made me want to get it. It's about a woman who gets engaged and a new job, falls asleep one night and wakes up five years later with a completely different later. It sounds really interesting as I've always wondered what my life would be like five years. Although I can't imagine waking up and it being five years later with no idea how I got there. So I'm excited to give this story a read.
So that's all I have to say about books. Let me know what you're reading and if you have any book recommendations. I would love to hear them.
Thank you for reading my blog and I'll be back again soon with another post.
See you then.
