Where Have I Been?
Oh boy, I meant to make this post back in September, but I wasn't happy with the post I made and then I completely forgot until now.
I don't even know how to explain my absence from this blog because I don't know why I left it so long. I had planned to blog every day in August I even have 8 draft posts but a lot of them were unfinished and the posting never happened. Let's just say life got in the way and a lot has happened since I last posted on here.
As some of you know if you've been reading my blog, I was in Manchester this year studying for my master's degree and over the summer I had a 14,000 word dissertation to complete. My life became very busy and stressful doing this dissertation but also the worry about what I was going to do after my master's degree. My original plan was to do an internship after my dissertation but after several unsuccessful interviews and job applications that didn't happen, so I had to move back to plan B which is to move back home to Wales as I ran out of money from studying this master's degree. Thus began the endless job hunting which I am still doing to this day. Luckily, I have the best mum in the world and is allowing me a roof over my head. You don't realise the struggle job hunting is until you have to job hunting. The number of applications you have to write which most of them end up being pointless because some of these jobs you never hear from again or remain hopeful they'll get back to you. Then there are the very few interviews you get, and this gets your hopes even higher than the rejection comes which leads you back to square one. I've also noticed how unfair some companies are because there was one company that I had applied for one job and didn't get it, but they had a completely different job role available which when I tried to apply said I couldn't until six months later because I had already been rejected by them for a different job. Like at least let me apply for that other job because that might be better suited to me, but nope. Can't happen weirdly enough. Sorry, I'm ranting but it is a little unfair. It's all fair to say to someone get a job or I can't believe you don't have a job. Don't you think I haven't been trying? Every day I'm checking for jobs. Every week I'm applying to no avail. It's a struggle that I must go through and maybe I will get that job. Who knows?
Anyway, on a lighter note, it was my birthday a week ago to which I turned 25. I'm planning on learning to drive soon which is another thing I've been meaning to do for some time. It might make my life just a little bit easier.
So here I am again. I am planning to make more posts now that I have a lot more free time than I did before so stay tuned for some more regular posting from me soon.
Thank you for sticking around on this blog. It means a lot to have people reading my posts. I will be back again soon with another post.
See you then.
