My Favourite Movie

As someone who just loves watching movies and going to the cinema. How can you not like watching a movie? No matter how many movies you go and see there's always one that you'd happily watch over and over again. Now I'm going to talk about one movie because back in 2017 I made a post of my top ten favourite movies and looking back on it those are still my top ten movies but perhaps this one may knock off the top spot of that list. So what is my favourite movie you may be wondering after reading this paragraph? Well if you have been on my Instagram stories you may hazard a guess that one particular movie that came out this year, I fell in love with the first time I saw it in the cinema that guess what I saw another time in the cinema before instantly buying it on Amazon Prime again because I loved it so much and have watched it many times at home which makes the purchase well worth it. Any ideas? 

Okay fine, I'll just say it: 

It is Cruella. 

Oh my, I absolutely love this movie. It has the perfect cast with the likes of Emma Stone as the woman herself and Emma Thompson as the baroness. Some credit also has to go to Joel Fry, Paul Walter Hauser, and John McCrea as Cruella's entourage. If you have not seen this movie then you are seriously missing out. Hands up who's tired of all these Disney remakes that they keep throwing out every year even though there is literally nothing wrong with the original. Well, luckily for us this isn't a remake and more of an origin story that works. Cruella De Vil is probably one of Disney's famous villains and it's no wonder they had to make a movie about her. It worked very well with Maleficent (the sequel of that, not so much. Sorry.) but it makes perfect sense. Instead of remaking the exact same movie. Focus on the villain of that story and why they are the way they are. Like did you really need to make a remake of the Lion King, Disney? Why not have a movie about Scar's origin with him and Mufasa? That would have literally been an epic story but nope. I guess we will never really know what happened between the two. Although, Disney if you are reading this. Give us a movie about Ursula. She is probably one of the best Disney villains out there plus there's obviously some history between her and King Triton. Clearly these movies about the villain characters. Hook would be another great example of this and his whole backstory. Like how did he end up in Neverland? Although I'm very aware that Sky did a great prequel to Peter Pan called Neverland which was actually pretty cool and sad, they never thought to make a sequel. 

Anyway, this went from talking about my favourite movie Cruella to a rant about Disney needing to making more Villain origin story movies. I love Disney either way and I'm fully aware they are already thinking about making a sequel to Cruella which makes sense because I felt like there was so much more of that movie, I could watch so I look forward to that.
