Evening Routine
As I did my morning routine for yesterday's post. It only seemed right to do my evening routine for today's post so let's get started.
My evening starts when I finish working for the day. On this particular evening I had a day off but I was working on my blog for most of the day, so I decided to switch it off and start my evening.
Now I don't usually do this, but I really wanted to finish the current book I was reading which was Endless Autumn by Annabelle Knight as I only had a few chapters to go. The last few chapters were very unexpected and full of surprise that I wasn't even sure how this book was going to end. However I was pleased with the ending and the book in general. I didn't know what to expect but I soon learned this is definitely not a book for young readers as the amount of sex scenes and the inclusion of a brothel was surprising but also an interesting read. It was definitely different from other romance books I've read but was definitely a book I would recommend as it was a good story and was somewhat relatable during some parts if you're a young adult whose life may be falling apart, and you end up moving back in your parents' house plus going through a breakup. The part including the sex was not as relatable but still interesting. I don't want to go into too many details, but I will say there is quite a bit of sex so if you're into that then go for it. Either way, I ended up finishing the book which I was really happy about.
After I finish a book, I always like to read the first chapter of the next book I want to read just so I can start to get into it. The book I chose was The Paris Connection by Lorraine Brown as I was going on a trip on a train in few days of this particular evening and thought this would be the perfect read to take away. Also any book set in Paris is a book I already love because it is a dream of mine to go to Paris and do all the tourist things. I've only read the first chapter and was curious how a couple being on the same train could end up dividing making them go their separate ways but after the reading the first chapter, it is all starting to make sense. Either way I'm excited to see what the rest of the book brings and how it goes. I'm worried it may be slightly predictable, but we shall see in the long run and I'm hopeful about this book.
After reading the first chapter, I realised I was still in my normal clothes, so it only seemed right to put on some cosy fluffy pyjamas because it was quite chilly that night also, so it was the perfect choice.
On this particular evening it was a Saturday, so I decided to have a cheeky little drink of peach schnapps. We'd been shopping earlier that day and I never really buy peach schnapps so when I saw it was offer, I thought why not. I mixed it with some lemonade, and it was pretty nice.
I spent the evening with my mum in our living room watching Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway (although I didn't take a picture of it.) Although I did take a picture of my sweets of choice for the evening which was Sour Patch Kids (definitely my favourite sweets).
After watching Ant and Dec, I went upstairs and removed my makeup with the L'Oréal Paris micellar water and that's the only skincare I did for the evening.
Next, I brushed my teeth because that's what you're meant to do in the evening, and I wasn't planning on eating anything else.
Finally, I settled down in bed and watched the Young Ones because I saw it was on the BBC iPlayer and it is definitely a classic. I then went to bed because I was tired.
So that brings me to the conclusion of my evening routine. It's definitely not that exciting but I didn't want to throw in a load of fake things to do and this was definitely more genuine of my evening routine. Most of my evenings are similar to this one anyway.
Let me know what an important part of your evening routine is in the comments below. Thank you for reading my blog and I'll be back tomorrow with another blog post.
See you then.
