Pamper Party
I was having a bit of a down day at home because when I was writing this, I recently just got dumped. Sad times but we move on. Coincidently one thing I randomly did was look at my 30 Things To Do Before I'm 30 and one of those things that I hadn't done on that list have a full on pamper party with the works. That is why I thought I'm not going to have a lazy day at home feeling down about how single I am and instead indulge in a bit of self-care. I also thought why not share my little pamper party as inspiration to any of you who need a bit of self-care in your life. This is something you can do on your own (like I did) or even with your close friends.
Here are all the things to do in order to have a relaxing pamper party at home.
1. Set the mood
It's no good having a relaxing day if all around you is a cluttered mess. Have a quick tidy up of your bedroom and the bathroom before starting your pamper party then start setting the mood. Put on some fairy lights, light a few candles as this will help to make the room nice and cosy for your relaxing pamper session. Another thing to do is put on some feel-good music or watch a feel-good film so you have something to focus on while you're doing your pampering. For me that was the Lizzie McGuire Movie.
2. Run the bath
Now something that always makes me feel relaxed is having a bath. While I do love my showers, a bath is somewhere I can just lay and relax for a while plus take my time. The perfect bath for me is lots of bubbles and a bath bomb.
3. Do a face mask
The perfect time to do a face mask is in the bath because it is less messy, and you can very easily wash it off in the bath. I absolutely love this L'Oréal Paris Pure Clay Glow Mask although I find it makes me look like an Oompa Loompa when I put it on my face. Either way I love it.
4. Wash Your Hair and Body
There's no point in having a bath if you don't wash your hair and body plus part of the pampering is to take care of yourself. I've mentioned these products previously but honestly, I love them. Especially shampoo and conditioner because it's perfect for my greasy hair and the body wash smells amazing. I'd highly recommend them.
5. Skincare
Something that is really important to me during a pamper session is of course taking care of my skin. After having a bath, I have been absolutely loving this Nivea Body Moisturising Mousse. It feels super soft and dries really quickly. I find it really does moisturise my skin especially after having a bath, it is definitely a new favourite of mine.
Next, I use my trusted L'Oréal Micellar Water to cleanse my face and remove any makeup or remnants of the face mask I may have missed.
I then use this Simple Skin Quench Sleeping Cream to moisturise my face. It feels so nice on my face and is perfect after a good pamper session. Finally, I have to use Vaseline on my lips because the last thing I want is dry lips when the rest of my body is nice and moisturised.
6. Pyjamas
There's no point if having a pamper session if you're not wearing comfy clothes and pyjamas is definitely the comfiest of clothes.
7. Manicure/Pedicure/Brows/Pimples
Something that is also important to take care of is the little things on your body. Whether it's plucking any stray hairs from brows, dealing with any whiteheads or blackheads on your face or just trimming your nails. These are essential in order to have a very productive pamper session which is exactly why I did it.
Another really important thing is to moisturise your hands. This is a midnight bloom hand & nail cream and it's perfect because not only does it take care of your hands but also your nails too. Your hands are just as important as the rest of your body so it's crucial to take care of them also.
Finally, I just use this Primark Strong Nails polish to strengthen my nails a little and take good care of them.

8. Relax
Of course, after all that pampering now it's time to relax and keep watching the Lizzie McGuire movie. This brings us to the end of my little pamper party. Of course there are many over things you can add or take away to make your own pamper party special. Let me know how you get on with your own pamper party and I'll be back again tomorrow with another post.
See you then.
