What's In My Carry On?

Tomorrow, I'm off on holiday to Majorca. I'm so excited because I haven't been abroad since 2019 and I honestly can't wait. It's just nice to also have some time off work and just chill out. I went to Majorca when I was three years old and celebrated my fourth birthday while we were out there. This will be my second time back there and we're even going to an aquarium that I went to the first time. Anyway, I thought I'd share what I'm bringing in my carry on because sometimes it feels like when you're packing that you're going to forget something. I thought this will be handy for any of you travelling in the future for some ideas on what to bring in your carry on. The one thing I like to have for my carry on is backpack because it's just easy to have on your back and you'll have free hands to drag your suitcase and hold your tickets. Plus if you have a big enough bag, you can surprisingly fit a lot in it.

Anyway without further ado, let's see what's in my carry on:

Herschel Retreat Backpack
Inside the backpack
New Look Crossbody Bag - Had this for years but also, I like to have a little everyday bag inside my carry on bag so I can pull it out after security but also use it to keep important things that I can easily get to. Also my phone would be in here too, but I was using it to take photos.
Inside the little bag
My passport - Very essential for travelling and the case is from Amazon
Euros - So I can spend money while I'm on holiday
My Everyday purse - this one is from Matalan
Tissues - You never know when you might need one
Headphones - Always a travel essential for me
Pens - Just in case and always handy to have
Sunglasses - these ones are from H&M and the case is from Primark
MP3 player and headphones - I like to save my phone battery so getting an mp3 player and putting loads of songs on it can be handy as I like to listen to music, but I also don't have to worry about using my phone battery. Especially when I'm travelling.
Hairbrush - this is from Superdrug and again something useful to have in case my hair gets messed up.
Medication - this is just my birth control and hay fever tablets because they're very important for me.
Scrunchie - in case I want to tie my hair up
Face masks - You never know if anywhere still have restrictions so it's better to be safe than sorry especially when you're travelling
Onto the rest of the backpack
Plug adapter - I keep it in my hand luggage because I'd be a bit screwed without it.
Chewing gum - I read somewhere that chewing gum helps with the ear popping on planes so it's very handy for me to have these.
Charging cables - This is just my phone and mp3 chargers but very essential to have especially in your carry on.
Liquids bag - I got the bag from amazon and inside I just keep hand sanitiser, lip balm (because apparently, it's a liquid) and wet wipes which I wasn't sure I needed in this bag, but I thought it was better to be safe than sorry.
Sudoku puzzle book - This is a travelling must because if I'm bored, I can just do sudoku puzzles whether it's in the airport, on the plane or while I'm holiday. I love doing it while I'm just listening to music because it really does pass the time.
Blister plasters - the worst thing to happen when travelling or on holiday in general is getting a blister. These are just super handy to have just in case and you'll be thanking yourself if you ever get a blister.
Midnight Sun by Stephanie Meyer - Don't judge but I was a huge Twilight fan back when the movies came out and I remember hearing about Edwards side of the story. Honestly, I just wanted a long book to take on holiday and I thought this would be the perfect book to read.
Spare clothes - I have a lot of packing cubes and one travel tip was to have a spare set of clothes in your hand luggage. In here I just have spare underwear, socks and a top. It's just handy to have in case something happens to your luggage or if your flight gets really delayed. You'll be thanking yourself with a spare change of clothes.
Travel pillow - Honestly the number of times I go on holiday and forget a travel pillow is ridiculous. However I'm taking no chances this time. This one I got from Primark a few years ago and it's memory foam. It's just handy if you fancy sleeping on the plane plus you can take it with you on the beach or by the pool, so you'll have something comfy to rest your head on.
Beach towel - One of the things that takes up the most room in your suitcase is a beach towel, so I'd highly recommend if you have the room for it putting it in your carry on. It will work out well for you.
That's everything!
There we have it. All the things in my Carry On. Let me know what your biggest carry on essential is in the comments below.

Thank you for reading my blog and I'll be back again soon with another post.

See you then.
