My Reading Plans
If you've read my blog in the past, you know I've made many posts about books and that's because I love to read. I've done this back in July and I realise there's a few books from that post on here still. That's because I'm a huge procrastinator but I thought I'd share my reading plans for the rest of the year. I currently only have seven books on my bookshelf to read then I will complete my goal of reading all the books on my bookshelf which is a goal I never thought I'd achieve. Although the temptation to buy more books is very real either way, all the books I want to read and hope to finish by the end of this year. Let's get started.
Currently Reading
One Enchanted Evening by Katie Fforde
This book is one I'm enjoying so far. It's a nice story of haters to lovers kind of story is what I'm assuming is going to happen. The main character is called Meg which I'm very happy about as that's the main reason why I bought this book. Either way I'm excited to see how this story progresses as I'm only on Chapter 9 but I can't wait to keep reading to see what happens in the story. I've never read any of Katie Fforde's books before and I always like to give other authors a shot to see if they're any good. So yeah, I'm excited that this is my current read at the moment.
To Be Read
I Heart Forever & I Heart Hawaii by Lindsey Kelk
These are the final two books of the I Heart series and I'm excited to get around to reading them. I've actually planned to take them with me on holiday so I have two good holiday reads. I know I'll enjoy them because I've loved the previous books of the series. It's taken me a lot of time to get through the series as I've put other books in the same but I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next in the story of Angela Clark.
Remember Me? By Sophie Kinsella
I honestly can't remember the last time I read a Sophie Kinsella Book. I think the last one I read was either The Party Crasher or Love Your Life. Either way I'm trying to get through as many Sophie Kinsella books as possible because she is definitely one of my favourite authors. I'm also aware a new book of hers is coming out in October which I'm very excited about. I'm also looking forward to reading this book as it reminds me of another book I read where the protagonist wakes up and all of a sudden it's a different year with a brand new life and the protagonist has no idea how they got there. I love those kinds of stories because the reader is also trying to figure it out too and it's just a fun read. Plus as I mentioned I love Sophie Kinsella books so I have a feeling this one will be a good one. I can't wait to read it.
Kiss Me First by Lottie Moggach
This is a book that's very different from other books I've read. It's also a book that's been sitting on my bookshelf for two years. I have mixed feelings about this book because it was one that an ex bought for me from Poundland. Before anyone decides to judge my ex, it was a book I picked out and he decided to buy it for me. Now at the time I was keen to read it then I got other books and slowly this book just sat on my bookshelf. Now though I have that guilt that I need to get around to reading this book. It is actually quite an interesting story about a girl who wants to disappear and another girl who is going to pretend to be her online. Yet I know this book is classed as a thriller and I don't read many thrillers. Either way I'm going to try to read this in October as it might get me in the spooky mood and I'm also kind of curious as to what happens in this book so this is one I'm definitely intrigued to read.
A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens
I actually bought this book last year to read at Christmas but I never got around to it. This year though will be different because I'm actually going to make an effort to read this. It's one of those classic stories that I know so well and only ever watch the movie versions of it but never actually read the physical book. I've only ever read Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens so I hope to add this one to the list of books I've read also. Either way I'm excited to finally read this book this Christmas.
Kris Jenner and All Things Kardashian
Please don't judge me for this one. I know there are probably half of you that are rolling your eyes and the other half is excited. I went through a phase of watching Keeping Up with the Kardashians and one of the episodes talked about Kris Jenner's memoir so I decided to buy it from Ebay. Now I no longer watch the Kardashians but I still own this book and a part of me wants to read it. Even though I know it's very dated with so many different things happening, a part of me is curious how she became the famous manager of the Kardashian brand as it is quite an achievement. Either way I'm looking forward to having a read of this.
Wedding Night by Sophie Kinsella
This is actually a new addition I got the other day but I was browsing Amazon and I wanted to get myself another Sophie Kinsella book. I saw this one and instantly wanted it. It's about two people that made a pact in school that if they're not married by thirty they'll marry each other which is a pact I kind of wish I made with someone but sadly not. I'm looking forward to how this will turn out as I know there's probably going to be some family drama and cute scenes of the two lovers slowly falling in love. Plus it's by Sophie Kinsella and I love her books so I have a feeling this one will be another good one. This is one I'm definitely looking forward to reading.
There we have it. Those are all the books I have left to read on my bookshelf and I plan to read all of them by the end of this year. Fingers crossed. Either way I'm excited to get around to reading them as I do love a good book. Let me know a book you're currently reading or want to read. I would love to hear it in the comments below.
Thank you for reading my blog and I'll be back again soon with another post.
See you then.
