Favourite Things About Xmas

I honestly love the festive season and all the things that surround it. I thought I'd share all my favourite things about Xmas. 

Let's get started.

The Decorations
It's just so nice to be able to decorate your home with festive decorations because it just feels so cosy. Especially at night when you can turn on the lights on the tree and around the house and even more so when it gets dark around 5pm it's just so nice. It always makes me feel so warm and fuzzy in the evenings. It's just nice to see the decorations around the house and it gets you really excited for Christmas. 

Opening Presents
Call me a big kid at heart but I actually love the present opening because I'm always curious at what people get for me and I just like opening presents. I only do it twice a year so it's nice to have an opportunity to do it. I know it may seem a bit big headed and selfish of me but I like opening my presents on Xmas day. I'm sure many of you feel the same way. 

Christmas Music
I know we hear it everywhere in November and December but especially in December in the build up to Xmas, you can't help but sing along especially the jolly ones as it just puts you in the mood for the big day. It's only once a year and it'll soon be over so you may as well embrace the Christmas music. 

Christmas Movies
I just love watching Christmas movies this time of year as it really puts you in the mood for Christmas. December is not complete without watching either Home Alone, Elf, The Grinch and a version of A Christmas Carol. It's just feel good movies that you can't help but love as they all have a wonderful message in each of them. One thing I would love to do is watch the classic Xmas movies in the cinema. That would be a cool feeling. 

Spending Time With Friends & Family
One thing that is nice to do around this time of year is to spend some time with family and friends. It's really an important time of year because honestly life works in mysterious ways and you never know when it's going to be anyone's last Christmas so it's important to make those special memories and spend time with the people that matter. 

Christmas Markets
December is not complete until you've gone to a Christmas market and enjoyed either some mulled wine or if you're like me then hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows. It's just a nice feeling to walk around the Christmas markets. One I love to go to is Manchester every year. It's always a nice treat to see the markets there. I know there's plenty of others out there that are just as good and I would love to be able to have a chance to visit them all. 

Seeing Xmas Lights
One thing that I like to do is go for a walk around where I live or go for a drive while listening to Christmas music just to see the Xmas lights that people have put up. It's honestly a nice feeling to see the effort that some people have put with the light displays. It's always a treat to see and I feel like December would be pretty boring without the festive lights on the houses so we should be grateful that people do take the time and effort to put lights on the houses because it is a joy to see them.

Planning for the future is probably one of the most scariest things. Especially when you have an end goal but have no idea how to achieve that goal. 30 Things To Do Before I'm 30

I thought I would do one of those posts where I talk about things I want to do in the future and why not do a 30 things I want do before I'm 30 so I have about nine years to achieve these thirty goals for myself. It's also something I could look back on when I am thirty years old to see if I actually have achieved any of these things. Hopefully I will but we'll have to wait and see in nine years time. 1. Get my degree Now this is probably an obvious one as I'm in my third year of university but honestly after two years of doing university it would be nice if next year I could have a degree. Chapter Two

The end of the longest month of the year to enter the shortest month of the year, except it's a leap year so instead of twenty eight days, we have twenty nine days. How exciting.  I've had an interesting first month of the year. I booked a once in a lifetime trip to Las Vegas and I'm also planning on booking a holiday to Ireland which is very exciting as I've never been to Ireland before. I think this year is going to be full of adventures so I'm looking forward to what this year will bring. It's getting me motivated to start living a healthier lifestyle though. Eating less and moving more.  I'm also still saving up on top of all the holidays, I hope to buy a car this year. I'm not sure what I'm planning on doing this February.
