Favourite Xmas Songs

It's that time of the year where all the shops and radio stations are filled with non stop Christmas music. I know it can be annoying for some people but I quite enjoy it as it gets me in the mood for Christmas and everything is so jolly. That's why I thought I'd share my favourite Xmas songs with you as these are the songs I listen to the most during this time of the year. 

When Christmas Comes To Town - The Polar Express

I love this song as it's just a feel good song. It has beautiful singing and it reminds us why Christmas is such a wonderful time of the year. I find myself repeating this song a lot during the month of December because it feels so good. 

Where Are You Christmas - Faith Hill

Another beautiful song from one of my favourite Christmas films. It's just a great song especially as you get older, Christmas is not the same as it once was and you sometimes wonder if you'll get into the Christmas spirit. It's just a beautiful ballad song that is sung beautifully and is very relatable as an adult. 

Do They Know It's Christmas - Band Aid

This is such a catchy Christmas song with such a great message behind it. This song reminds us that we should be grateful for what we have and always give back to others. It's a song that always puts me in the Christmas mood whenever I hear the first few chimes of the song. 

O Holy Night

As someone that groups up with things like the nativity at school, this song is one of those beautiful songs that you can't help but love. I know it's a religious song but it's such a powerful song and I do prefer the Glee version of this song because Lea Michele has an incredible voice.

Do You Hear What I Hear?

Another religious song but a beautiful song nonetheless. It's just a simple but beautiful song that announces the birth of Baby Jesus and you can't help but not love it. 

Fairytale of New York - The Pogues

I'm aware this song is a very controversial song but at the same time, it's such a catchy song. Especially when you think it's a slow song in the beginning then the beat picks up and you can't help but dance and sing along to the chorus. It's definitely a fun song to sing at Christmas. 

All I Want for Christmas - Mariah Carey

I know this song gets played every single day up until Christmas and say what you want about it but it's a catchy song and is one of those songs that just puts you in the mood for Christmas. 

Step Into Christmas - Elton John

Another catchy tune for Christmas. It's just a fun, upbeat song to listen to amongst all the slower songs. It's just a fun loving song that really puts you in the mood for Christmas. 

Baby, it's cold outside - Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Jordan

Another controversial song but if you put it in the perspective of two lovers where one feels she has to go but the other is concerned because it's cold outside. It's actually quite sweet. It's a catchy tune and kind of sweet in a way. I'm aware some people view it differently and that's okay but I think the intention was that it's romantic and they just don't want the evening to end. 

Driving Home For Christmas

A great song for travelling during Christmas time because it just makes you excited that you're going home for Christmas to visit family or friends or even just coming home from work. It's a great catchy song and definitely one I enjoy listening to especially when I'm travelling.
