Reflection Of The Year
2023. What a year you were with so many ups and a couple of downs.
It all began when I decided to take the plunge and started online dating again. It went really well, I ended up meeting this guy that we eventually became boyfriend and girlfriend. It was really nice for a while but now I end the year single so obviously things didn't go that well. Oh well, at least I'm consistent. I'm not sure if I'll go back into online dating in 2024. I'm not sure if my heart could take another heartbreak. I'll have to see though as you never know. It might actually happen. Who knows?
Another thing that happened was I went on a night out to Liverpool twice in March. Once for my mother's retirement party and once for my best friend's hen party. That was an exciting month. Then of course I was the bridesmaid at my best friend's wedding. That was very emotional because it had been a long time coming and it was a beautiful day.
One goal of mine this year was learning to drive. I did have a driving test booked in January but I was too nervous to go through it but I was determined. so I kept up with my lessons and eventually had my driving test in August and I passed. It's such a relief because now everyone keeps telling me this is where the real learning begins. I haven't got a car yet but I'm hoping to in 2024 and I'm looking forward to being able to drive around everywhere.
In February we went to the rugby in Cardiff to watch the Six Nations match between Wales vs England which has always been a dream in my family and it's also a very tense day in the household because there is that rivalry between Wales and England especially in the rugby but it is just a bit of fun. Either way it was a good day even though England beat Wales, it was still a good day and the atmosphere was incredible.
I also found myself going back to Cardiff again to watch Tom Jones at Cardiff Castle. Me and my brother surprised our mum with a trip and she had no idea where we were going. It was on the same day as an England VS Wales rugby match and mum thought we were going there. We didn't tell her until right at the last minute and it was incredible to see her face. She was surprised. It was a great evening and Tom Jones has an incredible voice. It was a good time.
I also decided to change jobs this year. Mainly because I worked at my previous job for a year and it started running its course. I did enjoy it but I fancied a change then I took a chance and applied for a new job which I got and I'm so happy because I'm really enjoying working there with the people and it's an interesting job. It just goes to show that there's always a chance to have a career change. Sometimes change is good and this one was good.
Finally, in November I took a trip to London which was very exciting because I haven't been to London since I was a child. That was exciting because me and mum went on a walking tour around the city seeing all the sites. I then did one of my life long goals of visiting the Warner Bros Studio Tours and seeing the making of Harry Potter. Honestly it was an incredible day. I really loved visiting there and seeing all the beautiful sets, costumes and it was just a very magical day. I then got to see my first West End show which was Back To The Future the Musical and that was an incredible show. I would highly recommend it.
So yeah, that was my 2023 and honestly it was a really good year. In fact it's probably one of the best years I've had and to top it all off, I made 100 posts this year on my blog and reached 100,000 pageviews which I never thought would ever happen. Honestly though, I couldn't have done it without you readers. I just wanted to take this moment to thank you for taking the time to read my blog. It means a lot to me as it makes it all the more worthwhile.
Anyway, there's just two more posts for 2023. Thank you for reading my blog and I'll be back tomorrow with another post.
See you then.
