February Favourites

As it's the last day of February, I thought I'd share a few of my favourites of this month with you all. This month definitely went by quickly, probably because it's the shortest month of them all but I still managed to find a few things I enjoyed about this month.

Let's get started with my February favourites.

Five Survive by Holly Jackson
This is a stand alone book from the author of the Good Girl's Guide to Murder series and this one was definitely an exciting read. It's where six people are on a trip in their RV when suddenly they get stuck in the middle of nowhere. They soon realise that their tyres have been burst by bullet holes and suddenly a bullet comes through the window. It doesn't take long before they find out there's an active shooter out there and what they want. A secret from one of the members of the group. Panic sets in for the group as they turn on one another, trying to find out the secret and whether or not one of them is working with the shooter. The story is set in the location of the RV and it splits up into the hours of the night which is an interesting concept. I was excited to read this as I loved the good girl's guide to murder series but this book was a great stand alone. It had a lot of drama and excitement in it as you're trying to figure out what the secret is and who the shooter is linked to. I found myself speculating along the way about what it could be and who is involved. It was very intriguing and when I got to the chapters around four am is when things really started to pick up. Every chapter left you with a cliffhanger and I read the majority of the book in one evening as I couldn't put it down. I was intrigued by all the twists and turns of the story. I also hated the character of Oliver for a number of reasons and I'm sure many will agree. Either way it was still an exciting read and I highly recommend it as it's an interesting concept that will leave you on the edge of your seat.

Lego Pirates Of The Caribbean PS3 Game
Surprise, surprise. Another video game is part of my monthly favourites. Honestly though, I fancied playing a game and I was on my PS3 looking for ideas. One video game I loved was the lego Harry Potters so I decided to see if there were any other lego games then I saw the Lego Pirates Of The Caribbean game. I remember first playing this game on my Nintendo DS Lite years ago now and I thought it would be a fun game to play. It takes you through the four films of the series in lego form and it's honestly a bit of fun. Some of the puzzles you have to think about a little bit but overall it's good to play. I enjoy collecting all the characters and after you complete the game then you can replay the levels to earn the collectibles which is pretty fun. If you know me then you know I like to aim for 100% completion which is exactly what I've done for the month of February. Lego Pirates Of The Caribbean on the PS3 was definitely a firm favourite for February.

Tomb Raider Remastered
Honestly, as someone who grew up with the Tomb Raider games. They definitely hold a special place in my heart and the release of the remastered versions of the PS1 Tomb Raider games from one to three is honestly the best thing to have happened. It's the same game as the PS1 games but you have the option to have them in high quality or the original graphics. It's so nice and the controls are so easy to work with. I highly enjoyed playing them and one I most wanted to play was Tomb Raider 2 as that's my favourite out of the trilogy. Plus it was nice to have an up to date version of the game as with Tomb Raider 1 already had a remastered game in the form of Tomb Raider anniversary. Honestly, it's so fun to play and brings back the nostalgia for anyone that played these games growing up. It's nice to get the achievements and also just take a trip down memory lane. Plus with a click of a button you can go from the updated graphics to the PS1 graphics and see how far we've come in terms of game graphics. It's honestly incredible. It may have been a risk recreating the exact same three games with updated graphics but I think it's a risk that's paid off. I finished playing Tomb Raider 2 and as I'm writing this I'm currently playing Tomb Raider 1. Afterwards I'm going to play Tomb Raider 3 which is a game I have yet to complete so I'm excited to play the remastered version. Especially as these games give you the option to save anytime, anywhere which is a really big help. Either way I've really enjoyed playing Tomb Raider Remastered so far and I'm excited to keep playing.

Friday Night Dinner
This month Netflix finally put Friday Night Dinner back on and I'm so glad because I honestly love this show. It's such a comfort show to watch as it's a relatable family dynamic. From visiting your parents house, siblings playing pranks and teasing one another. A weird neighbour that always comes round. It's honestly the funniest show I've watched and because the episodes are twenty five minutes long with six episodes per season and one Christmas special. You can easily get through all six seasons in one weekend. Honestly, I was a late bloomer watching this show then one day I decided to watch it and I'm so glad I did because it is pure genius. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good laugh because this show is full of laughs.

There we have it. Those are my favourites for the month of February. Let me know what you've been loving this month, I would love to hear any recommendations you may have for me. It could be a book, a video game or a film. Either way I'd love to hear suggestions for anything I should start doing in the month of March.

That's all I have to say for now. Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and I'll be back again soon with another post.

See you then.
