My Dream Man

As someone who has been single for a while now and only experienced my first official relationship last year which only lasted for a few months, I can't help but wonder what my dream man would be like. 

Now for obvious reasons, I know this won't be strictly accurate but one can hope that the man I fall in love with will have some of these qualities. 

For starters, I just want a man who is caring. Who cares not just about the big things but also the little things. Asks me about my day, my life, my ambitions, my plans for the future and actually cares about the responses. I also want a man that just cares about how I feel and respects it because I would do the same for him. I see it as an equal partnership. I care about him and he cares about me. That's the main thing. 

I also want a man who will actually make the effort and not just use me. I want one that wants to hang out but also wants to go on dates. Someone who makes the effort to message and call me or even just let me know when he's busy. It amazes me that people don't do that. They just ignore or forget to respond leaving the other person wondering why they're not responding which trust me will lead to a lot of overthinking. That's why it's just nice to make the effort not just on the big things but little things like letting me know when he's busy. You know. 

Another thing I wish for is honesty. Letting me know how he feels, his thoughts and just not hiding anything. Like if he's worried or unsure about the relationship, I'd want him to tell me and maybe we could actually work it out together rather than letting these feelings just build up and up until they just explode out and suddenly everyone is emotional. Honesty is really the best policy in life and it's better to be honest because the truth will always come out. No matter how hard you try. Trust me, I've done a lot of detective work with some of my exes and which led to me either finding out they have girlfriends already or they're on Tinder while we're still together. That's definitely something I look for in a man is honesty. 

So yeah, those are the qualities I'm looking for in my dream man. Of course there is so much more but I don't want to narrow my options down. Not that I have any options at the moment.

Either way, I hope one day I do find the right man for me and we live happily ever after. Hopefully.
