May Favourites

Image
It's the end of May and you know what that means. It's time for a monthly favourite post. Let's get into it. Hell's Kitchen I found myself trying to find something to watch as I do like to watch series from time to time. I decided to go back to Hell's Kitchen as I haven't watched any of the latest series of it. I started with Season 21 which I think I started watching before but never got around to actually finishing it as some of the episodes I felt I had seen before. Either way I still enjoy it because I love watching what they make, even during the first episode during the signature challenge, one of the chefs used boxed pasta and a jar of sauce which even I know is a big no in front of Gordon Ramsay. Plus I just like Gordon Ramsay shouting away with his famous insults. Although I did find him to be a bit tame compared to what he used to be in previous seasons, it was still fun either way. I started watching Season 22 and I know this is definitely a series I ...

Cardiff Photo Journal

Image
This bank holiday weekend I took a trip to Cardiff with my mum. It was quite nice because I had a day off on Friday so we left on Friday and returned yesterday. I thought I'd share a photo journal of my trip to Cardiff. Let's get started! The train journey was pretty straightforward as we only had to change once and we got very lucky to get seats on both trains we were on. I used the opportunity to listen to music on my MP3 player so I could save my phone battery. I also had a chance to read my current book which is The Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella. I'm thoroughly enjoying it so far. When we got to Cardiff, we had some lunch in the Slug & Lettuce where I had some nachos. They were very tasty but I would have preferred to have salsa on it. We then made our way to our hotel which was the Holiday Inn in Cardiff Bay. We then went out to explore Cardiff Bay and we decided to go on the Ferris Wheel which was really good until it stopped right at the top and reminded ...

Blogging In 2024?

Image
Is blogging still relevant in 2024? I think so. I think there's no rules to blogging no matter what year it is. It's a form of creativity to express yourself. Your blog, your rules. I can also tell you from the amount of page views I get on a monthly basis that it is still relevant. People are still reading blog posts all over the world. I have people reading my blogs from the UK, United States, Hong Kong, Germany, France and more countries. It's crazy how far my little blog can go around the world. Honestly, if you love writing and blogging then it will all work out for you in the end.  Should you start a blog in 2024? Yes, you still can. If you're passionate about something and want to write about it then do it. The important thing is going into blogging for these reasons. Don't go into thinking you'll be a famous blogger and get all the sponsorships because then you're doing blogging for the wrong reasons. I blog because I really enjoyed writing down all ...

Desk Tour

Image
As this week's theme has been all about blogging, I thought I'd share with you my workspace and where I write the majority of my blog posts on a weekly basis. Anyway without further ado let's begin the desk tour. Firstly, I'll give you an overview of my desk which is currently the tidiest it has ever been. Although I did tidy it especially for this post, this is how I like to keep it most of the time. The desk itself is one I bought years ago from Argos. I'm not entirely sure they sell it anymore but it was one of the simpler, cheaper desks and it works for me as I mainly use my desk for blogging and doing my makeup so it's the perfect size for me. It has no drawers or anything and plenty of space underneath it, although I'm not going to show underneath because it's a little chaotic with my makeup products and beauty supplies. Anyway, enjoy an overview of my desk and then I'll go through each part of it. The laptop that I use for everything including...

Day In The Life Of A Blogger

Image
I thought during my anniversary week that I'd share a day in the life of a blogger. This is pretty much my day when I'm working on my blog posts. I normally work on my posts a month in advance so this is a real example of this as you'll soon find out. Anyway, let's get started with a day in the life of a blogger. My day starts with coffee as I always need coffee in the morning. I also decided to have some breakfast which is very unusual for me as I normally don't eat breakfast unless I'm on holiday. It's nothing special, it's just Nestle Golden Nuggets which is one of the best cereals in my opinion. After breakfast, I decided to have a clean up of my desk so I started removing everything from my desk and giving it a wipe down. Once I cleaned my desk, I put everything back and on this particular day it inspired me to do my desk tour post as my desk is the tidiest it's ever been. You'll be able to see my desk tour in tomorrow's post. I noticed ...
