May Favourites

It's the end of May and you know what that means. It's time for a monthly favourite post. Let's get into it.

Hell's Kitchen
I found myself trying to find something to watch as I do like to watch series from time to time. I decided to go back to Hell's Kitchen as I haven't watched any of the latest series of it. I started with Season 21 which I think I started watching before but never got around to actually finishing it as some of the episodes I felt I had seen before. Either way I still enjoy it because I love watching what they make, even during the first episode during the signature challenge, one of the chefs used boxed pasta and a jar of sauce which even I know is a big no in front of Gordon Ramsay. Plus I just like Gordon Ramsay shouting away with his famous insults. Although I did find him to be a bit tame compared to what he used to be in previous seasons, it was still fun either way. I started watching Season 22 and I know this is definitely a series I haven't watched as nothing is familiar. I know there are seasons I have yet to watch so I'm probably going to go backwards in the seasons as they're all on Amazon Prime Video. Either way, it's a comfort watch and I don't have to pay too much attention. I even watch it while I write my blog posts. It's great.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets PS2 Game
This is one of my favourite Harry Potter games. It's just so nostalgic for me and I fancied playing it this month. I was reminded of how much I enjoyed it. Even though I know every secret and card plus this game back to front, it still brings me joy. I find the earlier Harry Potter games to be the best, this one and Prisoner of Azkaban on PS2 are the best ones. Plus I love the PS1 games. They just bring me so much joy and I always enjoy it when I get a chance to play them from time to time. Definitely a favourite for this month.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban PS2 Game
Honestly, I love this game and had to play it after Chamber of Secrets because I was on a nostalgia trip. Even though I know where every secret, card and Folio Bruti page is. I still love replaying this game. This is one of my favourites because I love the fact you get to play as Harry, Ron and Hermione. It really adds another level to this game as sometimes in the earlier games it feels like Harry was on his own so it's kind of nice he has company. Plus each character has their own uses towards the game. From Harry's agility to Ron's Weasley touch as well as Hermione knowing all the spells. It really adds depth to the game and I have fond memories of this game growing up and honestly definitely a favourite for this month as I thoroughly enjoyed going on a nostalgia trip with the Harry Potter games.

The Happiest Ever After by Milly Johnson
This is a book I read this month and I loved it. It was such a sweet story and honestly went in a direction I didn't expect. It's about Polly who doesn't love her job anymore and her partner cheated on her. The only thing she loves is writing her novel where she's created the character of Sabrina who is a more successful version of herself. That's why she plans to run away from her life and in the process ends up in an accident. She finds herself disoriented and in the heart of an Italian family restaurant which is facing the risk of closure. However, Polly ends up believing she's Sabrina and can't remember anything about her old life. Only Sabrina's life which results in her living a very different life than she used to and makes you wonder if she'll ever remember her old life. This story was so good and it had so many twists and turns. It doesn't just focus on Polly (Sabrina) either but the Italian family as well as the other family that Polly left behind. It was a really interesting take on running away from your problems. How about getting a bit of amnesia so you forget your problems and even who you are. It's definitely a feel good book and well worth a read as I thoroughly enjoyed it. I found myself wanting to find out if Polly will ever remember and what would happen if she does now that she's started a life with new friends as Sabrina. It was such a good read and definitely a favourite for this month.

There we have it for my May favourites. Let me know what you've been loving this month in the comments below. I would love to hear it.
