August Favourites

Image
It's the end of the month and you know what that means. A favourite post of all the things I've been loving in August. It seems to be mainly TV shows and movies I've been enjoying this month but August is the month to chill out so it makes sense. Anyway, let's get started. I'm In The Band I've been meaning to watch this show for the longest time but it was never on Disney plus and I couldn't find it anywhere to buy. Then one day I was on the iTunes store and decided to look it up which is when I found all forty one episodes. I was so excited that I made a mature decision and bought the entire series. That way I can rewatch the series. It's a series I loved watching when I was a teenager because it was on Disney XD and the humour was definitely for the teenagers and older. Even now I still laugh at it because it has so much slapstick in it and I love slapstick. Plus it's a show about a rock band so it has adult characters, the teenager bits are a litt...

Day 31 Goodbye

Image
Today's photo is goodbye. I'd thought I'd end the photo challenge with a selfie and my usual pose of a peace sign because I don't know how to pose in photos. The reason why is it's the final day of my August photo challenge. I can't believe it's finally the end of August. It seemed to go both really slowly but also really quickly. Things I did at the beginning of the month feel like they were months ago but two weeks ago feels only like last week. I think because so much happens in the Summer month that before you know it, it's gone. One thing I don't miss is that feeling of knowing I have School at the beginning of September. I do not miss those days one bit. I do miss that feeling of going to university though and preparing for that. I guess it's slightly different because I was actually doing a course I liked but also having the opportunity to live on my own. I think I'd love to relive my university days, although I'd do some things sl...

Day 30 Evening

Image
Today's photo is of the evening. On this particular evening I decided to get cosy and immersed by switching the lights off to watch Beetlejuice. I haven't seen this movie in so long and because the new movie is coming out soon, I felt like watching it just to refresh my memory. I'm hoping to take a trip somewhere to go watch the new one as I haven't been to the cinema in so long. I'm probably going to go alone as nobody I know seems interested in seeing it, which I'm quite excited about. I'll make a whole day trip out of it. I haven't been to the cinema in so long by myself, I used to do it a lot when I was in university and I always enjoyed it every single time. It's a whole different experience compared to when you see it with other people. There's less pressure on whether the other people with you are enjoying it, plus you get popcorn and a drink all to yourself which is a bonus.  Having this cosy evening made me realise how much I'm looki...

Day 29 Morning

Image
Today's photo of the day is Morning. This was on Bank Holiday Monday morning, the festival was over and I was just enjoying a coffee while watching the sun rise. It was quite content and peaceful. It was still pretty early as not many people had got up. Probably trying to get as much sleep as possible before they have to start packing the tent away. It's amazing how quickly it goes. You spend all your time preparing for the festival, buying things for it and then before you know it you're packing it all away again for another year.  This festival actually made me do a lot of thinking and I realised, I've only ever been to the festival with my mum and her friend. I've never actually been with any actual friends or even a partner. I sometimes get envious of people that have big groups they can hang out with but at the same time I'd rather just one person that was either my friend or partner I could hang out with at the festival. It would be nice and I hope maybe o...

Day 28 Music

Image
Today's photo of the day is music. As you're aware if you've been reading my recent posts, I went to the Big Tribute Festival in Aberystwyth over the weekend. I'd highly recommend it because they have so many tribute artists performing as well as local artists playing in between the bigger acts. It's great. I thoroughly enjoyed it and have been going to this festival for the past ten years. I love it. In terms of music, I'm not a huge music fan as my taste is pretty random. I like mainly noughties songs and musicals so some of the artists I had heard of but I'd never known their songs. Majority of the songs I know were songs that were on Glee. I know that's a sad millennial response but my music knowledge and songs became wider from watching Glee. I can hear a song and be like, oh that was on Glee. To be fair though, I don't often search for new songs as I prefer to stick to what I know and love. I do feel like music does affect your mood and there a...

Day 27 Camping

Image
Today’s photo of the day is camping. I put this as a theme for a reason because I knew this bank holiday weekend I’d be camping for the Big Tribute Festival in Aberystwyth which I’ve been going to for the past 10 years. It’s great because you can camp all weekend and see lots of different tribute acts. Majority of them sound and look like the real thing. It’s great and they sing all their popular songs. Camping at a festival was great though and I highly recommend getting a tent that you can stand in because it makes so much difference to your camping experience. Plus it’s a tent you can take on any camping trip not just a festival but we’ve only ever used it for the festival but I would like to one day go camping with it at least once for something other than the festival.  Anyway, I’m lucky to have a day off today to recover from the bank holiday weekend and then it’s back to work for me tomorrow which I’m excited for as it’s a new job and I’m learning so much so far.  That’...

Day 26 Stairs

Image
Today's photo of the day is stairs. It's a random photo of the day and this quite a boring photo of the stairs in my house, although I like the face they go around in an angle which is pretty cool. As we rented, we didn't choose the carpet. I'm not sure what colour carpet I would have gone for if I could choose my own carpet colour. I think a blue perhaps, that would be pretty cool and give a bit of colour to the house. Maybe one day I'll make those decisions if I ever move into my own place, who knows? As you're reading this, I'm currently camping in the middle of a field as I've been to a tribute festival all weekend. I'm sure I've had a good time and hopefully not gotten too drunk. Anyway, it would be nice to go back to normal life after camping all weekend.  I hope you have slightly more interesting stair photos than mine. I can't wait to see them either way. Thank you for reading my blog and I'll be back tomorrow with another post. S...

Day 25 Favourite Movie

Image
Today's photo of the day is my favourite movie. One of my favourite movies is The Intern. I find it to be such a sweet movie about finding yourself and learning from the experienced but also learning from the youth. It stars Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway who fit so well in this movie. I feel like this movie is so underrated because not many talk about it. It’s got comedy but also emotional scenes and it’s just a feel good film. It reminds me that we always need to keep going no matter how old we are and sometimes you need to get out there to find your purpose in life. In a strange way this movie keeps me motivated to keep blogging because I just imagine maybe one day I could be running my own blogging company. You never really know where this blog will take me. Who knows? Anyway, this is a feel good movie and definitely one of my favourites.  Let me know what your favourite movie is in the comments below and I’ll be back tomorrow with another post. See you then. Megan x *This is...

Day 24 Desk

Image
For today's photo of the day, it's my desk. It's nothing special on my desk, it's the place where I write my blog posts and also do my makeup. I not long ago did a desk tour on this blog and it hasn't changed much since my desk tour. It may be a bit boring but it works for me and personally I like the simplicity of my desk. I don't like too much clutter on a desk, I don't know how you like your desk to be like whether you prefer it to be simple or have lots of things on your desk. I don't really know what else to see about my desk as it's nothing special really.  I can't wait to see your desk photos if you're taking part in the photo challenge.  Thank you for taking the time to view my blog and I'll be back tomorrow with another post. See you then.  Megan x *This is not a sponsored post* For business enquiries or just a chat email: megantimeblog@gmail.com

Day 23 Game

Image
For today's photo of the day, I decided to go with a game that I recently got from Ebay. I have fond memories of playing this game with my brother and was reminded of it when I saw the Olympics so I decided to find it on Ebay and luckily it was there. Playing it again brought all the memories back and I realised that this isn't the easiest game in the world to play, especially the sprinting and swimming challenges as it involves a lot of button pushing but it's good fun trying to get a good score. I've struggled to reach first place but I still enjoy myself whenever I play this game. I can't wait until my brother comes to visit so he can replay it too. I love replaying games that I used to play when I was a child and a teenager because it brings back all the nostalgia especially when it's a good game. too. This is definitely a game I've been enjoying a lot this month. Anyway, that's all I have to say. I can't wait to see your game photos for the phot...

Day 22 Something Blue

Image
For my photo of the day, it's something blue and I decided to go with a lovely blue sky with a bit of sea. It was such a lovely day the other day and I felt like taking this photo as I couldn’t believe how clear it was. The summer weather is very unpredictable especially when you live in Wales. On the rare occasions you get these lovely clear blue skies, as I write this it’s currently pouring with rain and a not blue sky in sight. To be fair I don’t mind because I’m someone who prefers the Autumn and Winter time. I love being able to wear jumpers and wrap up warm plus it’s the perfect excuse to stay inside. Not that I don’t like going outside but I do enjoy an excuse to get cosy and wrap up warm. I’m definitely ready for Autumn time, although I still can’t believe we only have ten days left of August. This year has gone super quick because soon it will be Autumn then Christmas then it’ll be January again. The months fly by in Summer months. It’s kind of crazy.  Anyway, I can’t wait...

Day 21 Animal

Image
Today's photo of the day is an animal. This dog is sadly not mine, it’s my nan’s and she’s beautiful. This is the only animal I have in my life and I love her. She’s only a pup but she’s feisty. You try to pick her up and she’ll bolt it, zooming all over the garden. There’s no stopping her. There's a rare occasion she’ll let you pick her up or give her a belly rub and she does appreciate it but most of the time she’s on the ball and running around. I kind of wished I’d had my own dog but it’s nice to be able to go visit one every now and then. I can’t wait to see your animal pictures in the comments below. Thank you for taking the time to view my blog and I’ll be back tomorrow with another post. See you then. Day 20 Favourite Mug

Image
For today's photo of the day, it's my favourite mug.  I feel like there's a Disney theme with today's post and yesterday's post. This is my favourite mug and I've had this mug for over ten years now. I remember getting it from a Disney Store when I was about fifteen and I have a fond memory of being judged for buying this mug by my mum's ex friend. Apparently, I was too old to be buying this mug and had an eye roll. If anything that made me want the mug more and also how sad someone's life can be for judging somebody for buying something they like. It's a mug at the end of the day and still over ten years later, I'm using it on a daily basis. I love this mug mainly because it's so big and I do enjoy having my coffee in it. This is definitely my coffee mug because I can't imagine drinking anything out of it. I have another mug for tea and other hot drinks but coffee always has to be in this mug. I don't know if anyone else has specific...

Day 19 Holiday

Image
For today's photo of the day, we're doing a throwback to my favourite childhood holiday. Honestly, Walt Disney World in Florida was the best holiday I went on. I still have memories of it and a whole load of photos to look back on. It was one of the last family holidays I went on with my mum, dad and brother so it holds a lot of memories for me. This was actually taken when we're at a shop and trying on a load of different hats. Obviously, I didn't buy any as they were super expensive but it was fun all the same. I was eight years old when I went to Florida and honestly, it's a good age to be there because you're still a lover of Disney but can still remember quite a lot about the trip. I remember meeting a load of characters, seeing the shows and just having the best time going on rides. I even went on my first upside down roller coaster which was called the Kraken I think. That was amazing. I just have so many memories from this trip and I would love to one da...

Day 18 On The Road

Image
For today's photo of the day it's on the road. During the Summer months, you may find yourself on the road quite often whether it's going on a road trip, travelling to the airport or going away for a staycation. On this particular road trip, we were travelling back from Llandudno and honestly I love living in Wales because look how beautiful the valley is that this photo doesn't do it any justice. There's so many beautiful valleys and mountains, I believe this was near Snowdonia but don't quote me on that because I'm not sure at what point I took this photo. I just saw it and knew it had to be on my photo challenge as it's on the road but it also has a beautiful view to it. Wales is a beautiful country because there's a lot of countryside and often miles to the next town. I know South and North Wales might be slightly different but travelling through Mid Wales has a lot of beautiful nature to it. You have these stunning valleys and mountain sides plu...

Day 17 Random

Image
Another fun photo of the day which is random. Literally. My random photo is a Bingo sheet as I played bingo when I visited Llandudno. I played twice and I'm pretty sure I was the youngest player there. Unfortunately I didn't win and my lucky streak seems to have run out. To be fair I have won Bingo twice in my life. One time I won a load of Euros on my first night on holiday and the second time, I won a shelf which was very random. I don't actually know where the shelf is at the moment because I gave it to my friend to look after and I have yet to see my friend.  Anyway, Bingo is such a fun game but it's also very intense because you're focusing on the numbers and there's always that feeling as you get less and less numbers in the box, you think this is it. Although, the minute you get that feeling then someone calls out. I have noticed people don't really shout bingo anymore. They just shout something but it's definitely not bingo. I thought the whole p...

Day 16 Flowers

Image
For the sixteenth photo, it's flowers. Who doesn't love getting flowers? My favourite flowers are red roses so I was beyond grateful that one of my customers from my previous job gifted me these beautiful roses. It was so unexpected and she gave all the staff roses which were so lovely.  I don't often get flowers, the only time I get flowers is if I buy them for myself on Valentine's Day. I've only ever received one bouquet of flowers from a partner so that tells you the kind of guys I date. Although when gifted them to me, I literally had no idea. It's a shame really but we move on. I'm currently not dating anyone at the minute and I'm kind of not in the right mindset either. My last ex made me lose faith in the idea because how quickly someone can go from saying I love you and that you're mine to I want to talk to other women. That's when I knew my worth and realised it was not worth getting my heartbroken over a guy that could easily change hi...

Day 15 Suitcase

Image
For day fifteen's photo is a suitcase and this is mine. I bought this suitcase recently as I needed a new suitcase. I got this one from Matalan and you don't realise how much you need a new suitcase until you use the new one and it goes a lot smoother than your old one. That's the problem I have with suitcases is that the wheels eventually break but the actual suitcase is fine. Although I did discover from a google search that you can buy replacement wheels, I haven't tried that yet. My old one didn't just have broken wheels but the inside was getting tatty. Now I just use my old one as under bed storage.  I've used this suitcase twice for two trips, one to Llandudno and the other to Manchester. I made a lot of good use of it and I'm sure I'm going to use it again and again soon. Honestly, I spent £40 on this suitcase and I would recommend spending money on good quality luggage. I know £40 is a lot of money but it's worth it if you have a suitcase th...

Day 14 Fridge

Image
This is kind of a random photo theme but I felt like it. This is day fourteen which is a fridge. I decided to show the outside of my fridge because the inside is not very interesting. As you can see we have a lot of magnets which I love because they’re like memories of different places we’ve been to over the years. Some of these magnets are even from when I was a child. Who knew a magnet could be a fire memory? Suddenly you’re taken back to the place and all the memories come back. I also just noticed in the top left corner the Dublin magnet is upside down for some reason. The most recent magnet on there is the one next to the Dublin one and that’s the Manchester magnet. We realised that we never got a Manchester even though we’ve been there so many times and I even lived there at one point. The closest we got was a Coronation Street magnet from when we did the Corrie tour but never an actual Manchester one.  Magnets are cool and I hope when I have my own place to build my own coll...

Day 13 Art

Image
For day thirteen, it's art and this is my art. Recently I've been loving doing scrapbooking. It's so therapeutic to do. I especially love watching the videos on YouTube of people scrapbooking and creating their pages. This one I was particularly proud of because I tried something new and was inspired by a video I watched. Honestly, scrapbooking is a great hobby to do especially if you're someone who is creative. I have two scrapbooks I've filled up and love going through them and seeing what I've created.  The beauty of scrapbooking is there's no rules. You can scrapbook however you like. You could follow a certain theme or just pick out things that go together. I get all my supplies from either Amazon or the Works. It just shows that anyone can scrapbook really and it doesn't matter if it doesn't look the best because you don't have to show anyone. Within time though you'll eventually improve and be proud of how far you've come. You'...

Day 12 TV

Image
This is day twelves photo which is my tv. I actually got this tv because I used to have a small television and there was a spare television at my Grandad’s house that nobody was using so I traded my old tv in and took that one. I was quite impressed because there was nothing wrong with the television and it had a hdmi slot so it was perfect. I’ve had it now for over four years and it has caused me no trouble. It’s the perfect size for my bedroom. I’ve been watching episodes of I’m In The Band which was a show I watched when I was a teenager on Disney XD and thought it was the best show. It still holds up today as it has the humour of slapstick and there are some great lines. I love the characters of Ash, Derek and Burger. Tripp is good and it wouldn’t be the same but I can tell his humour is directed at the teenage audience which I no longer relate to sadly. Although I’m not even sure today's teenagers would relate because the world is a very different place. There were no tablets,...

Day 11 Handwriting

Image
This is day eleven’s photo and it’s my handwriting.  Do you remember learning to write in school? You started off with a pencil so that you can easily correct your mistakes. Then one day if your writing was good enough that you started joining your letters then you got upgraded to a fancy pen. Suddenly everything changed. You felt like you were one of the smart ones when you got upgraded to the fancy pen and there were still people in your class writing with pencils. Eventually it didn’t matter because the following year, everyone was writing with a pen and nothing mattered then. It’s funny how our handwriting has changed over the years. I was looking at old school books and before I never used to join letters then I started to join the letters and I could see the beginning of how my writing looks today.  We all have our set ways on how we write and even how we hold a pen. I know I don’t know how you should hold a pen. My thumb seems to rest halfway up the pen which is obvious...

Day 10 Bedroom

Image
Apologies for the delay of Day ten and Day eleven not posting. I thought they were scheduled for when I went away to Manchester but turned out they were still in my drafts so today you get triple the fun of day ten, eleven and twelve of photos. This is day 10 which is my bedroom. My bedroom is a working progress as you can see under the window is all my scrapbooking supplies. I’m trying to think of something to put them in. I was thinking maybe some drawers but I’m not quite sure. For now they’re just stacked in boxes but they’re easy to get to. I quite like the layout of my bedroom because my bed is in the corner of the room and I have the tv on the end of my bed. I do my makeup on my desk so the natural light of the window is perfect for that. I also have my bookshelf next to my chair which you saw in day four's post. I also have a bedside table next to my bed and that is pretty much it for my bedroom. It’s small but I like it. It’s my little sanctuary. It’s probably the place I ...

Day 9 Drink

Image
This is day nine of my photo challenge which is a drink. This is a hot chocolate from M&S cafe and it was actually really tasty. Normally because I'm such a big kid, I would have cream and marshmallows on top but they never asked me for it which I was kind of sad about. Either way it was quite nice to have hot chocolate. The only reason I was in this cafe was because it was pouring with rain and I was waiting for my mum to be finished with what she was doing. I think she had an appointment and I'd just finished work.  It seems weird to have hot chocolate in the Summer but like I said it was pouring with rain on this day and I fancied hot chocolate. It got me thinking that I'm ready for the cosy night ins during the Autumn and Winter months. I'm definitely someone who prefers these months compared to Summer and Spring. My wardrobe mainly consists of jumpers which is what I'm wearing today actually as I write this post because the summer hasn't really been sum...
