Day 6 Boarding Pass

The sixth photo of my photo challenge is a boarding pass.
This is actually a boarding pass from over ten years ago and I'm pretty sure it's the last physical cardboard one I've had. It was when I went to New York with my mum back in 2014. We only went for four days but it was incredible. It was the first time I'd been on a plane and had an actual screen to watch what I wanted. The flight itself was long but the city of New York was stunning. We managed to cram so much in the four days from the Empire State Building, going on a bus tour, Central Park, Time Square and seeing a Broadway show. Honestly it was a memorable trip and I would love to go back there one day.

I miss the physical boarding passes because it was essentially a hard copy proof that you were meant to be on a plane. The e-tickets, while handy as they're just on your phone, are sometimes unreliable because what if your phone battery dies and you have no other way to prove you're supposed to be travelling. Of course I always print out the e-tickets because personally I'd rather the physical copy and at least I don't have to worry if my phone battery dies. The issue is that it's not on the nice cardboard it used to be on, it's just a standard paper copy which is boring. These boarding passes I put in my scrapbook, I have a scrapbook of memories from my uni days to my New York trip as I'm sentimental about things.

Anyway, let me know if you have any trips coming up. I'm actually going to Manchester this weekend and I'm also going to Las Vegas in September which I'm really excited about. Be sure to share your photos if you're taking part in this month's challenge.

Thank you for reading my blog and I'll be back tomorrow with another post.

See you then.
