McFly

Something amazing happened to me last Thursday. I got to see McFly in Manchester.

Not only was it in my favourite city in the world but I have loved this band for twenty years. I remember when I was seven years old, there was this show on television where artists were competing for the top spot. Busted was on it but this band I'd never heard of called McFly who performed they're debut single, Five Colours In Her Hair. I remember falling in love with the lead singer Danny and my life had changed forever. I remember buying my first ever album which was Room On The Third Floor and listening to it. Although confession time, I only listened to the first four songs of the Album on repeat because I used to listen to the same things on repeat especially if you have a CD with only a certain number of songs. Little did I know the following year my favourite album of all time would be released which was Wonderland. This was my favourite album and I got gifted this plus the McFly Wonderland tour on DVD for Christmas. It was truly the best Christmas ever. I still have that CD and DVD to this day.

When my mum surprised me with tickets to see McFly in Manchester. It was like a dream come true. I couldn't wait. We booked a hotel nearby so we could walk to the venue and it was great. I even bought a McFly t-shirt and everything for the occasion. It was truly an incredible day. The only thing that let me down was the weather app telling me it was going to be a dry day. Lies. It was torrential rain and hailing it down. Me and my mum locked ourselves in a portaloo for the opening act because it was so wet and we only had thin coats. Note to self if you don't think it's going to rain, bring a coat because you never know. That was the one small downside to an outdoor venue. They should have a big beer tent cause there was nothing unless you were a VIP. What can you do though? They were incredible and I was near the front of the barrier. The VIP was right at the front but I had a good view of the stage and a huge screen too so it was just perfect.

The McFly boys are perfect at getting a crowd going. You can tell they love what they do and are having a good time. They were just the perfect entertainers. Even my mum who only knows a couple of their songs really loved them and their guitar skills are just incredible. I even heard a few songs that I never heard of before but grew quite fond of. One of those songs was Red which I really loved but their classics were still amazing. I loved it.

Here's a few photos of the day in question which was honestly the best day of my life.
Thank you for taking the time to view my blog and I'll be back soon with another post for you.

See you then.
