Going Out Makeup
It's party season with work dos, nights out and Christmas parties so it's always good to have a plan for your going out makeup. I thought I'd share what I like to wear for when I go on a night out, especially at this time of year.
Let's get started.
L'Oreal True Match Foundation
This is a new foundation I've got, I decided to treat myself to a good quality foundation as I only ever use foundation for nights out and thought this would be perfect. I've heard lots of people recommend it and I thought I'd give it a try especially as I've got my work's Christmas party and another night out this month,
Studio London Flawless Cream Concealer
I've been loving this concealer for ages. It blends so well into the skin and you hardly notice it's there. It has good coverage and it's reasonable in price which is always a bonus. I wear this for everyday use and for nights out so it gets so much usage out of me.
Collection Gorgeous Glow Blush Stick
I love using a cream blush because it's subtle when you blend it but adds a nice shimmery glow too. This blends really well. I always put it on before powder otherwise you lose the effect of a cream blush. I definitely prefer blush over contour. I just find it gives a more natural colour to the face.
Studio London Colour Icon Eyeshadow Base
I find having an eyeshadow base really helps to keep the eyeshadow on longer which is perfect when you're partying all day and night. I never used to wear a base or primer on the eyes much but since using this I have noticed a difference when you wear it compared to when you don't wear it.
Collection Pressed Powder
Now I like to set all the cream products with a pressed powder and I love this Collection one because it's affordable but also gets the job done. Plus it blends in quite nicely so it's the perfect powder really.
PS 3 In 1 Brow Pencil
I've gone through so many brow products in my life and I decided to have a change so I went with a brow pencil as I just find it fills the gaps in more detail compared to a powder. Plus this is perfect because this also has brow gel and a sponge powder so it works out really well depending on the kind of brow you're after. Whether you want eyebrows on fleek or a more natural brow, this product really works for both natural and glam.
Collection Blush
I like to add a little extra to my blush and put a powder on so that it enhances the cream blush underneath. As I said I prefer blush to contour so this just gives a bit of extra colour to my face but I find it's a more subtle natural glow.
Makeup Gallery Eyeshadow Quads
These little eyeshadows are from Poundland and I really like them because they are so pigmented. They've got a few shimmery colours which are perfect for the festive season but also a few nude colours to give a natural look. Sometimes having a small quad of shadows is all you need and it fits perfectly when you're travelling so you don't have to worry about taking huge palettes. It's perfect for the party season and I love it.
PS Cosmic Dreamer Eyeshadow Palette
I love a blue eyeshadow but also a silvery smoky look. Again this is a very pigmented palette which is why I love it. Sometimes you don't need an expensive eyeshadow palette. Sometimes the affordable ones are the better ones because they give you more options for looks and are just as pigmented. Definitely going to be using this palette a lot this month.
Collection Kohl Eyeliner Pencil
What can I say? It's a black eyeliner pencil and does the job of adding a bit extra to the waterliner to really enhance my eyes. I just go for whatever cheap and cheerful because it's only an eyeliner pencil but this one does the job for me perfectly.
Maybelline Lash Sensational Waterproof Mascara
The eyes are not complete without a good mascara and I love this one because it really adds volume to the eyelashes so that you don't need false ones. It also doesn't smudge which is a bonus because I hate mascaras that easily smudge. This is just perfect for the party season.
Carmex Strawberry Moisturising Lip Balm
I've been loving this lip balm and I always have to put lip balm on my lips before lipstick. This feels so moisturising but I love the strawberry flavour. It's just perfect for the winter months to stop your lips from drying up. Definitely recommend this lip balm.
Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick
Gotta have a nice lippy to complete the look and I love this lipstick. It's in the shade Latino which is a really nice shimmery shade. I'm definitely a pink lips kind of girl and this is perfect. Plus it doesn't dry up your lips so quickly compared to other lipsticks which is an added bonus.
There we have it. That is my going out makeup which I'll be wearing for the festive seasons during those nights out and parties. Let me know if you use any of these products and what you think of them. I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Thank you for taking the time to view my blog and I'll be back again soon with another post.
See you then.
