The month of November is a weird month. Halloween has just finished and now Christmas is the next big event in the calendar for a lot of people. I know there's also other celebrations in parts of the world that come next. Like for the UK today it's Bonfire Night where we celebrate a man who tried to blow up Parliament with fireworks. Of course, for many it's just going to watch a firework display and less about the history of the day. In fact I'm going to a firework display in my home town tonight. Another celebration that comes before Christmas from our friends across the pond is Thanksgiving. I'm sure there are other celebrations that may come before Christmas in other countries but those are the only two I can think of off the top of my head.  Yet it begs the question, is it too early to think about Christmas? We've finally arrived at the penultimate month of the year. Only two more months left of 2025 and it's been a very unexpected year for me.  I got my first car and I unexpectedly fell in love this year. Kind of surprising for me as these were two of the most unexpected things to happen to me and yet they did this year. It's a nice surprise to say the least.  This month though, I don't really have much going on. Of course there's bonfire night and I'm planning on seeing some fireworks in the town. Another thing that is happening is I'm going to Manchester next weekend to do a bit of shopping and see my brother. Other than that, not a lot else is going on. Happy Halloween! It's Halloween which means it's the last day of October and so it's time to share everything I've been loving this month. Let's get started. Monster: The Ed Gein Story Yes, I watched it. I was having a long debate about whether to watch this or not as it’s not my usual cup of tea. I’m not a big fan of horror stuff, yet I watch true crime documentaries and videos to learn more about different cases. I’d never actually heard of this case until it was released. I watched a video and read about it before I went into it just to know what I was letting myself in for. Of course the algorithm online started recommending posts on the series and people saying that it’s good or it’s bad. I knew then that I had to see it for myself. Of course going into dramatised shows of cases it’s never going to be fully accurate. We’ll never fully know what happened in the Gein household and of course there’s a lot of speculation about some of the crimes he did commit. Of c...

Going on dates is fun but sometimes it's hard to think of new dates and ideas on where to go. Sometimes you don't want to do the same old, same old dates so I thought I'd share some suggestions of date ideas you can do with either your partner, friend or even on your own if you're brave enough. Let's get started. Cinema Date I actually went on my first cinema date a few weeks ago and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I always love any chance of going to the cinema and I'm used to doing it either by myself or with my mum usually. This time though I got to experience it with my boyfriend which was nice. We spent the majority of it holding hands and eating popcorn. It's just a fun way to spend time together, obviously you don't do much talking but it's fun to experience a movie together. I feel like this year has been a year of scrapbooking and wreck this journal, now I’ve discovered a new hobby. Junk journaling. I feel like Instagram has inspired me to do this because my for you page is literally full of scrapbooking but then it started recommending junk journaling. I was definitely inspired while on my trip to Ireland which caused me to basically keep all momentos and ‘trash’ which I’m glad I did because when I got to making my spreads I had options to choose from. To be honest, years ago I used to scrapbook memories except that this is more overdrive because now I’m also keeping things like crisp packets, packaging and receipts. Honestly the one thing I love about junk journaling is that it doesn’t have to be perfect. Mainly because it’s just going to be you that will probably read it unless you’re like me who is currently sharing snippets of her junk journal with you right now. Yet who cares how perfect it is. Have you ever woken up in the middle of the night and no matter how hard you tried, you just can't get to sleep no matter what you do. Sometimes you may have thoughts going around your mind or if you're like me, you may have inspiration to do something productive. I was tempted to do some junk journaling because I collected a few pieces for my junk journal but then I thought that might be too messy and noisy at 3am. Instead I grabbed my laptop and started writing some posts including the one you are reading right now. I had a couple still in their draft stages so I worked on them and scheduled them for uploading. Then I thought I'd make a rambly post as I'm doing right now about my 3am thoughts. I mean technically as I'm writing this it's actually 4:15am but I've been up since 3am. Last week we travelled to Belfast. I thought I’d share a little photo journal of my trip and everything I did.  Let’s get started. Started off with an early morning drive to Cardiff Arriving at the airport  Breakfast with a tasty avocado and eggs, sadly the eggs weren’t runny but it was still tasty. Getting on the plane, this is probably the smallest plane I’ve travelled in and it had propellers too. Flying over the Irish Sea Had Frankie and Benny’s and was surprised they still had one open. Went for a walk around the city centre The view of our room The main event of our trip was the Titanic museum. It was honestly interesting and at one point there was a little ride through the shipyard which was unexpected but pretty cool. It was interesting to walk around and learn the history of it all from start to finish. Definitely worth going to see especially towards the end, you really do feel the impact of the tragedy.
