3am Thoughts

Image
Have you ever woken up in the middle of the night and no matter how hard you tried, you just can't get to sleep no matter what you do. Sometimes you may have thoughts going around your mind or if you're like me, you may have inspiration to do something productive. I was tempted to do some junk journaling because I collected a few pieces for my junk journal but then I thought that might be too messy and noisy at 3am. Instead I grabbed my laptop and started writing some posts including the one you are reading right now. I had a couple still in their draft stages so I worked on them and scheduled them for uploading. Then I thought I'd make a rambly post as I'm doing right now about my 3am thoughts. I mean technically as I'm writing this it's actually 4:15am but I've been up since 3am. I probably should try and go back to sleep but luckily on this night it is my day off tomorrow and I don't really have much planned for it.  To be fair, I think what didn'...

Belfast

Image
Last week we travelled to Belfast. I thought I’d share a little photo journal of my trip and everything I did.  Let’s get started. Started off with an early morning drive to Cardiff Arriving at the airport  Breakfast with a tasty avocado and eggs, sadly the eggs weren’t runny but it was still tasty. Getting on the plane, this is probably the smallest plane I’ve travelled in and it had propellers too. Flying over the Irish Sea Had Frankie and Benny’s and was surprised they still had one open. Went for a walk around the city centre The view of our room The main event of our trip was the Titanic museum. It was honestly interesting and at one point there was a little ride through the shipyard which was unexpected but pretty cool. It was interesting to walk around and learn the history of it all from start to finish. Definitely worth going to see especially towards the end, you really do feel the impact of the tragedy. Here are a few photos I took. Afterwards, we decided to go on a...

Cosy Little Hobbies

Image
Recently I’ve had a few little hobbies that I’ve been enjoying and I thought I’d share them with you to give a try this Autumn. Let’s get started. Scrapbooking Honestly I love scrapbooking. I gained love from watching videos online of people doing it and I was in love. I love creating different spreads in my scrapbooks. I’ve already filled one and I’m halfway through filling two more. It’s honestly so therapeutic and it helps me to pass the time. I can watch a video or listen to music while I do it and I’m in the zone. It’s also nice because there’s no real rules to scrapbooking. It doesn’t have to be perfect and you can do whatever you want with it. You can create themes or just do what you think works. It’s entirely up to you and that’s why I love it. Wreck this Journal Similar to the previous but slightly different in other ways. I got one of these ages ago and filled it but I never completed it. I recently got one in colour and I love it. Every day I’ve been doing a different promp...

Turning 29

Image
As you’re reading this is actually on the day of my birthday so happy birthday to me. As you can probably tell from the title I’m turning twenty nine. I have a lot of mixed emotions about it because it’s another year of being older but it’s also the final year in my twenties. Next year I’ll be thirty and that’s kind of scary. I feel like there’s so much I still need to do in my twenties. I even created a bucket list on this blog a few years ago of everything I want to do before I turn thirty. Perhaps I might make an update on what I have left to do as it is my final year before I turn thirty.  I have mixed emotions about turning twenty nine. I feel like some parts of my life are not complete yet like I’m not living in my own place, I’m not married nor do I have kids. Yet that’s okay because not everyone does by the time they reach thirty. I feel like our twenties is the time to experiment, make mistakes and figure it out so that by the time we get to our thirties we can start to se...

October

Image
It’s the month of October which means it’s the month of my birthday where I’m turning the scary age of twenty nine. This means it will be my final year of my twenties which is a daunting thought. I’m actually looking forward to my birthday as it’s this Saturday coming because I’m actually going on a surprise with my special someone. I have an idea of what it is but I still don’t know fully yet. Either way I’ll be waking up on my birthday with my special someone and that is already something exciting for me.  Another incredible thing that is happening is on Sunday I’ll be flying to Belfast with my mum. I’ve never been to Northern Ireland before and I’m looking forward to it. We’ve booked for the Titanic museum and I think we’re going to do some other stuff there too. I’m looking forward to having two getaways this week. Kind of busy week where I have to pack twice. Luckily a lot of stuff can be transferred over like toiletries but yeah it should be good.  So far that’s all that...

September Favourites

Image
This September has been a month of a few little favourites of things I've enjoyed and I thought I'd share them with you. Only Murders In The Building I recently started watching this again as I stopped watching after episode 2 of season 4. I kind of stopped because I cancelled my Disney Plus subscription but then I saw trailers for the new season and I wanted to watch it so I continued where I left off. Honestly it's such a great cast and the dynamic between the trio works really well. I also enjoyed guessing who the murderer is and I'm never right. It's always the one you least expect but when everything comes together it all suddenly makes sense. I've started watching Season 5 now and so far I've enjoyed it as once again it's another murder mystery and I'm intrigued to know who dunnit. No spoilers in the comments, people. This is a spoiler free zone.  The IT Crowd This is your classic British sitcom and honestly I'd never seen it before but I s...

McFly VS Busted

Image
Last Tuesday was an incredible day because I saw McFly VS Busted in Birmingham. I've been waiting for this moment all year, I remember getting the tickets back in January and I was buzzing. I've been wanting to go to a McFly concert again since I went last year but when I saw this tour was announced I knew I had to go so I did. I remember going to the pre-sale link and considering where to see them. Birmingham seemed the easiest because we have a train that goes all the way to Birmingham so that would make it easier. The day finally came and I thought I'd share a photo journal of my day when I saw McFly VS Busted in Birmingham.  Let's get started. Took a train to Birmingham International. I went to the Novotel for lunch and had a steak sandwich and chips. The only issue was the steak was very chewy. Got to the hotel which was the Ibis at Birmingham International. It had the comfiest bed and wasn't far away from the venue. Had a bit of time to chill so ended up watch...
