March Favourites

The end of another month and March has honestly flown by. I feel like after February the months just fly by so quickly that you blink and you're at the end of another month. Of course this means it's time to share with you what I've been loving this month so let's get started.

Black Mirror
I was introduced to Black Mirror two years ago where an ex boyfriend showed it to me. We ended up watching 'White Bear' and 'Shut Up and Dance' which I believe are two well known episodes. They're actually similar in a sense where you feel sorry for the main character of the episode, unsure what is going on then a twist happens that changes your entire perspective. Black Mirror is a fascinating show, I haven't seen every single episode but I've seen quite a few now. It's an interesting concept because every episode is different so you don't even feel you have to watch the show in order of episode. You can start at any episode you want to. It's an interesting dystopian, futuristic world but also some episodes focus on real issues. An example is Nosedive which I really like that episode because Bryce Dallas Howard does a great job but it's scarily accurate in the sense that I could see that's the world we're heading towards. Everyone is focused on their likes and popularity, being addicted to our phones and constantly pushing out social media content to get people to like us. It's definitely more lighthearted than other episodes I've seen as some do take a dark turn but it's definitely an interesting episode to ease you in. This month I've definitely been binge watching a lot of Black Mirror episodes and hope to finish the entire series soon.

House Flipper
I recently got this game because it was on sale but it is such a cosy game. Basically you’re tidying up but also get to decorate and sell houses. It’s a simple game but it’s so satisfying. I love house renovation type games so this one is perfect. It’s just satisfying to play and one of those games you don’t really have to think about. It’s definitely a game I’ve played a lot this month and a favourite of mine.

Adolescence
This was an interesting show to watch. I was going to watch it but I saw it recommended on my Netflix and thought why not. As Simeon who likes watching true crime videos mainly because I’m fascinated by how the police do their investigation and this one definitely was an intriguing one. I thought it was based on a true story but it’s not but the reality is this does happen in life especially with the rise of knife crime with teenagers. It’s a scary world out there. It definitely shows the reality of what a teenager could be like especially if you’re not giving him the right support or paying attention to them. It was a well acted show and I was amazed by the continuous shot. It was incredible. It was only four episodes but definitely worth a watch as each episode you can’t stop watching. It was a good series with incredible performances, especially Jamie’s actor Owen Cooper and Stephen Graham. Definitely worth a watch and I definitely enjoyed watching it as it was fascinating how real it felt. It shows if you have children, you must always pay attention because they can very easily go down the wrong path if they don’t have the right support.

Eastenders
I’ve really enjoyed Eastenders this month with their storylines. From Phil’s mental health to the most recent storyline of Avani. They’re just powerful messages and a sign that the world is still not a perfect place. The acting is incredible and really pulls at your feelings. Last week with Avani’s storyline I felt so uncomfortable but that was the point. This shouldn’t be right but presumably this is still going on that we don’t know about. It’ll be interesting to see where the storyline goes and I hope Avani gets a bit of justice. I wasn’t so keen on the character originally but I think she’s definitely come out of her shell in this storyline and I think she’s going to do really well. We’ll have to wait and see, but yeah I’ve been loving Eastenders this month.

There we have it, that's what I've been loving this month. Let me know what you've been loving this month. I would love to hear it.

Thank you for taking the time to view my blog and I'll be back tomorrow with April's post plus a very exciting announcement.

See you then.
