Taking Time For Yourself

Your twenties can sometimes be lonely at times but it's important to make the most out of this by taking time for yourself. I saw a quote about Mr Bean on Instagram about the importance of enjoying your own company instead of expecting other people to make you happy. As many who know Mr Bean, he's a man that does a lot of things on his own and doesn't care what others think. He dines alone at a restaurant, goes to an amusement park, stays in a hotel and even ends up going on holiday by himself. Although if you've seen Mr Bean's Holiday you know he doesn't end up alone for long but still, he never expected to make friends while on holiday. It just happened. That's why it's important not to dwell on loneliness because you never really know what can happen. If you spend time enjoying your company then everything will soon fall into place and maybe along the way you meet friends or even a potential partner. The most important thing is to be happy and content with your own company.

I've enjoyed my own company, I love going to the cinema on my own or even going on a day trip by myself. It's the excitement of not really knowing what I'm going to do when I get there but I know myself of the things I like and sometimes listening to an audiobook or your favourite songs can definitely make the day even better. Take the time to do the things you love and don't feel guilty about it. You deserve to be happy. It's good to also keep busy on those days where you're feeling down or lonely. Start a new hobby or work on a project. Recently I've been writing a novel which I'm really enjoying. Every week I'm working on parts of the story and slowly it's coming together. I know it's not the finished project yet but it's getting there and it's something I can focus on. Definitely having a project to focus on when you're feeling lonely can really put your mind at ease plus you start loving what you do that you forget you're alone. It also makes for a great conversation with other people as it shows you're not doing nothing during your time off, you actually have a project or hobby that you love to do and makes you happy.

Definitely enjoy your own company and we all get one life, we may as well make it a happy one even when we're on our own.

Anyway, that's all I have to say for now. Thank you for taking the time to view my blog and I'll be back again soon with another post.

See you then.
